Yacht rental Cancun offer some boats with out crew or captain as they are rare in the area but there are some. A bareboat is a boat with no crew members, only rented out to experienced and license skippers.
Usually a small deposit is collected and paid by credit card to secure the boat and then remaining gets paid at arrival to the boat. In rare boats we required a full payment a month in advance
The answer is yes. You can plan an itinery together with the captain at your arrival to the boat as they are more familiar with the vessels and the water and the territory.
A tip is mandatory in some vessels but not in all and we do appreciate and recommend to tip your crew as they do a great work to make sure your group is taken care of, enjoying and keeping you all safe
